Tri-Tips are real popular for grilling, and for good reason. They’re cut from the beef sirloin and are full of that rich beef flavor that steak masters demand when serving up that special steak to friends and family. Serve them up with some BBQ Pit Boys Potato Bombs and now you’re talking good eatin’ at the Pit..!

  1. Just an interesting question, do you guys ever use propane? I have a propane grill, so I can't really do the indirect to direct heat with charcoal for some of your steak recipes. BTW, you guys are awesome, thank you for all your hard work on giving us some awesome recipes!

  2. I hear what you're sayin man. But, being a crazy Californian, we have another way you boys might like to try them Tri-tip roasts. Marinade, yes sir, marinade 2 of them for 2 to 4 days in 1/3 cup Kikkoman Low-Sodium soy, 1/3 cup Lea and Perrins worcestershire sauce, juice half of a vine ripe lemon, and plenty of kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper. ICE cold out of the fridge, put them on the hottest coals you can muster. You want a really nice char on the outside of the roast, and a silky rare or med rare inside. The contrast in the texture and flavor from the inside and outside of the roast is what really sets this recipe off. When the internal temp gets to about 115F (About 12 min. per side) pull them off the fire and let um rest for about 15 min, if you can. 😉 MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm That's smelllllls GOOD! Yeah buddy! Give it a try. If you don't think it is the best tri-tip you have ever had, I'll send you a full brisket with the point. :-) Cheers man! I love your videos and quote them often. Aaaaaaannnnnnd!!!!! If you make a video of this recipe, I wanna be in it to taste and give that thumbs up to one of the most creative pit masters on the planet, YOU!!! Right on Bro!!
